REMINDERS FOR PARENTS:
The cold weather is coming and we want to enjoy outdoor play! Kindly ensure that your child is appropriately dressed with warm coats, snow pants, hats, mitts (no strings please~ strangulation hazard), neck warmers (safer than scarves). Label, label, label everything, please!
All children need to have a full set of extra clothing in their school bags (remember the undies and socks!)
The nursery school will be closed from Dec. 23, 2013 to Jan. 3, 2014. We will see you on January 6. Have a Happy New Year!
Our next Date Night will be held on Friday, Dec.13 starting at 5:30 pm. Great opportunity for parents to do some Christmas shopping while their children enjoy holiday activities here at RPNS! See the sign up list in the hall or reserve your spot by email to email@example.com
Many thanks to all our families that supported our “Barefoot Books” and “Two Rays of Sunshine” Fundraisers! Our Building Fund is growing!
Thank you for all CANDY for the Gingerbread houses!! We have plenty of candy now for the children to decorate Gingerbread Houses on Dec. 19 and 20. Their little ‘houses’ will be donated to a local senior’s home.
Want to give a special gift to someone this Christmas?
*Purchase a “leaf” on our GIVING TREE in honour of a special someone! We will send the recipient a holiday card letting them know that they are now part of our “Giving Tree”. Donate an amount that suits you: $20 to $50 ~ buys a bronze leaf; $51 to $100 buys silver leaf; $101 and up buys a gold leaf. (tax receipts provided to the donor). See Paulette for more details on purchasing a Giving Tree Leaf. Great gift idea for the RPNS teachers!!
CHRISTMAS CONCERTS AND PARTIES
It has been the tradition here at RPNS for the children to sing some holiday songs for their families. The concerts this year will be held on Tuesday, Dec.17 and Wednesday, Dec. 18. All family members are welcome to share in the festivities. Should you be bringing along a child not currently registered at RPNS, kindly let the Director, Paulette, know so she can help Santa’s elves with their lists. All this singing will make us hungry so please sign up on the FOOD LIST posted in the hall and bring in some goodies! Kindly have your child at the nursery school for 9:00 am for pre-concert preparations!
Wishing you and your family the happiest of Holidays and all the best in 2014!
From Janet and Jenna: Toddler and Jr. Preschool
We are all excited about the great months of winter fun we have ahead of us here at R.P.N.S., and we hope you and your children are as well!
To help your children get ready for outdoor play, please:
· Wear a warm snowsuit
· Wear winter boots
· Properly fitted mittens with a thumb (no stings these are a choking hazard) and mitten clips
· Neck warmers (not scarves, which can be a choking hazard)
Junior preschool parents please:
· Make sure your child’s indoor shoes are above their name on their cubby rack.
Toddler Parents please:
· Ensure that your child’s outdoor gear is left in an easy spot for us to find when dressing for outdoor play.
Transitions are difficult enough for all of us. Having the correct gear in all the right places, makes for smoother transitions.
This month our children will be practicing 3 songs (Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and a special surprise song!) in preparation for our Christmas Concert!
Thank you for labeling your children’s belongings, checking your children’s communication books and logs, and contributing to our Christmas festivities!
